Fuehrungen durch die Ausstellung CONSPIRE....

Unter dem Motto CONSPIRE ... laedt die transmediale.08 internationale 
Kuenstler und Medienschaffende, Querdenker und Geheimgesellschafter ein, 
sich den unsichtbaren und unergruendlichen Regeln und Kodierungen von 
globalen Kommunikations- und Meinungsstrukturen entgegenzustellen. 
Deutschlands groesstes und bedeutendstes Festival fuer Kunst und 
digitale Kultur wird am 29. Januar 2008 im Haus der Kulturen der Welt 
(John-Foster-Dulles-Allee 10, 10557 Berlin) eroeffnet. Die Ausstellung 
wird bis zum 24. Februar zu sehen sein.

Die Ausstellung zum Thema CONSPIRE..., kuratiert von Natasa 
Petresin-Bachelez, untersucht die strategische Grundidee des 
konspirativen Aktes in Anlehnung an die lateinische Herkunft des Wortes: 
conspirare heisst auch 'gemeinsam atmen' - eine leise und kosmische 
Einstimmung auf eine so anonyme wie intim strategische Zusammenarbeit. 
Die kuenstlerischen Arbeiten naehern sich mit Instruktionen, Plaenen und 
Andeutungen den Fakten unserer alltaeglichen Realitaet, erfinden neue 
oder (pseudo)wissenschaftliche Methoden, mutmassen und fordern eine 
andere Art der Wahrnehmung heraus.
Thematische Ueberlegungen - wie die der konspirativen Wahrheiten, 
bioorganischer Systeme oder verdrehter Realitaeten - buendeln die 
Kunstwerke in orientierende Cluster, die auf Fragen nach den verdeckten 
Atmosphaeren und Strukturen verschwoererischer Zustaende hinweisen.

Wir freuen uns besonders in diesem Jahr Fuehrungen zur aktuellen 
Ausstellung anbieten zu koennen. Eine Fuehrung kostet pro Person 5 Euro 
bei einer Mindestteilnehmerzahl von 5 Personen. Bei einer Teilnehmerzahl 
unter 5 Personen betraegt der Gesamtpreis fuer eine Fuehrung 25 Euro.
Die Ausstellungsfuehrungen werden in deutscher und englischer Sprache 
angeboten. Auf Anfrage sind weitere Sprachen moeglich.

Fuehrungen bis zum 15. Januar 2008.

Guided Tour: Exhibition CONSPIRE....

transmediale.08 brings artists, media and cultural practitioners 
together with those cross-disciplinary tinkerers, utopian spelunkers and 
conspiratorial hoaxsters who defy the unspoken rules, hidden codes and 
assumed truths entrenched within our information driven global society. 
As one of Germany's leading international festivals for art and digital 
culture transmediale.08 will launch on January 29, 2008, at the House of 
World Cultures (John-Foster-Dulles-Allee 10, 10557 Berlin). The 
exhibition will be open through February 24, 2008.

CONSPIRE… the transmediale exhibition, guest- curated by Natasa 
Petresin-Bachelez, focuses on the strategic notion of the conspiratorial 
act. In poetic reference to the term's Latin roots, conspirare, the 
exhibition deconstructs the nature of conspiracy into a silent and 
cosmic act of 'collective breathing' suggesting a sharply targeted, yet 
anonymous and intimate form of creative collaboration.
The works and projects chosen approach the perceptive borders of our 
daily lives with coded instructions, exploratory maps and speculative 
allusions which provoke alternative views about the way in which we 
understand information and what we believe to be universal truths.
As such, thematic constructs around the notions of conspiratorial 
truths, bio-organic systems and twisted realities emerge from the 
contextualising clusters explored within the exhibition.

This year we are offering guided tours through the exhibition. The price 
per person is 5 Euro with a minimum of participants of 5 people. For 
groups of less than 5 persons the price is 25 Euro. Guided tours are 
offered in German and English. Tours in other languages can be arranged 
upon request.
