1. Festivaldaten transmediale.05

Das Datum für die transmediale.05 steht fest, bitte jetzt schon vormerken: Die
transmediale wird im kommenden Jahr vom 4. - 8. Februar 2005 im Haus der
Kulturen der Welt Berlin stattfinden. 


2. transmediale-Kooperation mit dem European Intermedia Meeting, Torun/Polen

Die transmediale ist Kooperationspartner der 4. Ausgabe des European Intermedia
Meeting - The Studio's Meeting Project'04, das am 13. - 14. Mai 2004 in Torun,
Polen stattfindet.
Das diesjaehrige European Intermedia Meeting hat das Thema 'Strategie der
Interaktion' und richtet sich in erster Linie an Nachwuchskuenstler und
Kunst-Studenten in Polen. Das Programm besteht aus Kuenstlerpraesentationen und
einer Ausstellung von interaktiven Arbeiten (in erster Linie in Form von
Dokumentationen) in der Galerie Szuki Wozownia. Die transmediale zeigt in
diesem Kontext 10 interaktive Arbeiten aus vergangenen Festivals; eine

Thomas Munz, Kurator des Video-Programmes der transmediale, praesentiert das

4. CALL FOR SUBMISSION: Media Forum - 04, Moscow

Vom 23. - 26. Juni 2004 findet das 4. Media Forum im Rahmen des Internationalen
Film Festivals Moskau statt. Das Media Forum ist die erste Veranstaltung dieser
Groesse in Russland und moechte Medienkultur sowohl einem breiten Publikum als
auch Kritikern und Professionals vermitteln. Besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf
der Verbindung zwischen traditionellen und innovativen Spielarten der
Bildkultur.
Das Media Forum laedt ein zur Einreichung sowohl von Vorschlaegen/Papers fuer
das Praesentations- und Konferenzprogramm bis zum 10. Mai, als auch von
künstlerischen Arbeiten bis zum 20. Mai 2004.

1. FESTIVAL DATES transmediale.05

The date of next transmediale has been set, please note: The up-coming festival
takes place from 4 - 8 February 2005, again at Haus der Kulturen der Welt,
Berlin.


2. transmediale CO-OPERATION with The European Intermedia Meeting, Torun/Poland

The transmediale festival co-operates with the 4th edition of the European
Intermedia Meeting - The Studio's Meeting Project'04, that takes place from 13
- 14 May 2004 in Torun, Poland. The theme of this year's edition is 'Strategy
of Interaction' and addresses young artists and art students. The programme
contains artists' presentations and an exhibition of interactive art works
(mainly as documentations) at the Art Gallery Wozownia. The transmediale
presents 10 interactive pieces from former festivals in this context; a survey
of these projects is available at

3. transmediale NEAR YOU: presentations and video programme in Japan

Thomas Munz, curator of the video programme of transmediale, presents the
festival and a selection of new video work from the recent transmediale at the
Image Forum Festival:

4. CALL FOR SUBMISSION: Media Forum - 04, Moscow

The  fourth edition of the Media Forum is held from 23 - 26 June 2004 as part
of
the Moscow International Film Festival.  Media Forum is the first event of such
scale in Russia and it reveals a new vision of the world of new media culture
and new screen technologies to the professionals, critics and public in
general. The objective of Media Forum is to demonstrate the connection between
traditional and modern branches of screen culture, the impact of technological
innovations on visual arts.

The Media Forum calls for submission of proposals/papers for the presentation
and conference programme till May 10, and for artistic work till May 20, 2004.
